High quality assessments, faster. Evidence-based clarity for neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Wylde in clinical office

I provide evidence based assessments quickly, without compromising quality.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive specialized training in neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. I don't want families to have to wait for answers that help them better understand their child or miss out on services while sitting on a wait-list.

My goal is to have you scheduled for your first appointment within two weeks, with a full assessment and results in hand within a month. I believe assessment is a therapeutic process, aiming to help families better understand their child and for children to better understand themselves.

Our Expertise

Services Offered

Reports are personalized, strengths-based, family-centered, and easily understood.

Psychological Consultation

All assessments start with a psychological consultation. This appointment is used to review background information and determine what types of assessments may be beneficial. Psychological Consultations can also be provided to clients who simply need a single visit with a specialist to determine next steps for treatment or support for their child. Assessments may not be booked until a consultation is completed.

Comprehensive Assessments

These assessments are intended to provide detailed information about your child across various domains and evaluate multiple possible diagnoses at once. These assessments can provide valuable insights about your child's strengths and challenges to inform detailed recommendations to support their needs and growth.

Targeted / Focused Assessments

These assessments are a cost- and time-effective way to assess specific diagnoses. They may not be appropriate for every client but can be used for many clients to determine if a child has a suspected diagnosis.

What to Expect

The Consultation

This is a 90 minute appointment to review your child's background information, discuss challenges/concerns, and receive detailed recommendations for next steps.

Please bring any prior school psychoeducational or IEP evaluations and RTI data to your appointment. Also bring your child's IEP if they have one. This information can help guide testing plans and inform diagnoses.

The Assessment

Focused Assessments typically last 2-4 hours, whereas Comprehensive Assessments may require multiple appointments. Evaluation may assess cognitive ability, academic skills, attention/executive functioning, emotional/behavioral functioning, language skills, motor development, adaptive functioning, and memory.

Preparation

Make sure your child is well rested and pack a snack for them. If your child is sick, please reschedule the appointment. Results are typically reviewed in a feedback appointment scheduled two weeks after testing is completed.

Common Questions

Do you accept insurance?

In order to provide you with a high quality assessment within a timely manner, I am unable to accept insurance. I charge flat rates with no hidden fees. I am able to provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance. In some instances, services may be covered as out of network.

How long does an assessment take?

Assessments may take 1-3 visits depending on the agreed upon testing plan and each individual child's pace and attention span. Assessment visits are usually booked for 2-4 hours each.

What age range do you see?

I see patients from 18 months through high school graduation. I do not see adults.

Is there a wait list?

My goal is to accommodate appointment requests within two weeks. We prioritize access so families aren't waiting for necessary answers.

Clinical training meets a passion for clarity.

My passion for working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders began during my undergraduate internship at The Sunshine School. Following my graduation from Harding University, I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology through Wheaton College.

I completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where I was awarded the Autism Fellowship. As the Autism Fellow, I conducted autism assessments as part of a study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

Following my training, I returned to my home state of Tennessee, where I have been working with children since 2016.
